It’s PATIO SEASON, y’all, which means it’s the perfect weather for our FORWRD WITH FRIENDS Happy Hour next week. We hope to see you next Thursday night at Tweedy’s Bar in the old Spider House just north of UT!
(🚨🚨 PLEASE NOTE: We’ve changed locations since last week’s newsletter … we’ll be at Tweedy’s, not Kinda Tropical.)

Copy this and send it to a friend!
Our short-term goal is to have so much fun that everyone wants to be a part of what we're doing! We'll test your knowledge of POLITICAL DIRTBAG TRIVIA, catch up, make new connections … and listen for ideas we can act on in the months ahead.
Our longer-term goal is to keep building a community that's empowered to meet this crazy moment in American history. That means one clear and easy thing we can do is KEEP GROWING. Invite our friends to come and start building a better, more hopeful future together.
We know, we know ... you never go out, much less on a Thursday. Same here! But good things always happen when we show up in person. We make connections, we get ideas, we laugh together and we feel better for doing all of it.
See you at Tweedy's next Thursday night!
Still In Limbo
This will be a brief newsletter this week, mostly because we’re still working to find a venue where we can hold a meeting in October. If you know of a space we could rent that can hold 100+ people, please let us know. If you could shepherd a request on our behalf, even better. (Church fellowship halls? School cafeterias?)
We’re still determined to make it work. Hang in with us!

Reminder: No Kings ❌👑 Saturday, October 18
You’ve probably noticed the pattern: Trump seems to be constantly flailing, losing the battle for public opinion … but at the same time, he’s steadily tightening his grip on power.
What can we do? Get out in the streets by the millions. That scrambles their narrative about an “unprecedented and powerful mandate.” And it gives our reluctant neighbors plenty of social proof that people like them are taking action to stop this madness.
We’ll be making plans to leverage our numbers and make a big impact. Does anyone have experience organizing a flash mob??
